Ok. So I left the house today, after letting the Yukon warm up for 10 minutes or so.. I drove about 3 blocks from my house, and turned a corner.. DING DING DING DING.. the dreaded sound. DIC said “DRIVER DOOR AJAR”, and the motor shutoff! I coasted to the right, and came to a stop. No idea went wrong. She started right back up, and no further issues running a few errands, but wtf. I know I need to do the big 3, but other than that, any ideas? I’m imagining this happening as I’m pulling into traffic to merge on the highway or some shit..!

ETA: This just happened to me again while driving today. It gave the same message “DRIVER DOOR AJAR”, and shutoff. It’s not starved for fuel, it’s not dying, it just turns off. So when I got back to my neighborhood, I unlocked the door, and opened it, sorta hoping it would shut off, but nope. So I think the DIC alert is a red herring. I’m planning to replace my grounds ASAP, and hope that takes care of it. I did find a few threads with the same issue, and a couple folks reported it was the crank position sensor, but seems to me that would cause startup issues, and not kill it while running..?

Saving up for my 33 inch tires to replace the 35s on my rims when purchased! I couldn't pass up the deal...

I have had these since summertime and get all kinds of compliments. I have a set going on my sons 2008 Silverado soon. I have a friend thats a cop and he was bragging on them.

Finished up a 800 mile round trip through the mountains, most of it on 2 lane roads, with many elevation changes between 7000 and 11,000 feet. Tahoe handled very well, it is a smooth road cruiser.

Have to give a shout out to the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires I put on a few months ago. They are all season and all terrain and rated for winter use with the 3PMSF severe winter rating. They handle snow and ice as well as dedicated winter tires I have had in the past. Can always count on hitting snow and ice covered roads on the mountain passes this time of year. Loving these tires, and QUIET on the pavement.

I need to take some pictures, but I have done quite a bit in the last month or so.

Installed a Kenwood DMX906S headunit (I posted about this somewhere, but I don't think I posted any pictures yet.
Installed my Kenwood X801-5 5 channel amp
Added a backup camera
Added a flush mount dual USB outlet where the cigarette lighter was (connects to my radio)
Picked up a set of weathertech mats (I know husky liners are the favorite around here, but I found them on FB marketplace for half price. Hard to pass up)
Put LEDs in my tag lights, reverse lights, and all of the dome lights inside. I need 2 more for the courtesy lights in the front doors.
Tinted the front windows

I will try to get some pictures tonight after work. Next project is going to be a sub and box. Planning on a single 12". Borrowing my friend's extra 10" pioneer for now and I'm not impressed. After that I would like to get a set of components for the front doors. I already have Rockford Fosgate door speakers from years ago when a factory speaker blew so I'm not in a huge hurry to do that.

Went to the junkyard in search of the little storage compartment where that remote tape deck goes for when I get a double DIN.

Found one in a Silverado. The best part is that I found someone's secret stash. That must be why they cut a hole in the back of the compartment.
