Thought I would do an oil change; drove it less than 150 miles since I bought it about 18 months ago.

Some a-hole replaced my oil with chocolate milk!

Oh well, probably a cracked head. Fingers crossed that it is just the gasket(s).
You can check for a cracked head fairly easy by pulling the valve covers and looking for clean places where coolant is washing away the oil. There’s a few YouTube videos.

kept outside? I don’t know how much condensation could accumulate in 18 months, but I thought condensation was a leading reason to change oil every 6months regardless of mileage

I really hope it is something as inconsequential as this. Even though I have 331,000 miles on it, there is no lifter noise at startup. I would think if the pushrod passages and lifters were gunked up with the sludge of a coolant and oil mix, there would be some telltale noise.
Either way, I will pull the valve covers tomorrow and see what's what.

Hoping for the best Matt. Keep us posted.

Nice work, these trucks are beasts to detail.
Sounds crazy but it’s good to throw wax/polish on the trim around the windows instead of taping off. Gives them a semi gloss look and prevents cracking and fading. Obviously the rubber can still be taped off.
