Questions for those who have Denalis/6.0/etc. with all 3 engine covers and catch cans :

I was going to install these engine covers today, but hit a snag - I mounted my catch can to the alternator bracket and that is right in the way of where that engine cover needs to go.

Where is the best place to mount the catch can, and more importantly how did you route the hoses underneath the cover?

It seems like there is a lot of stuff in the way that will prevent this thing from getting where it needs to be.

In taking these off at the junkyard, I also noticed that the passenger side cover puts a lot of stress on those heater core tees. I better buy 2 new ones just in case.

Thanks
I have my cc on the passenger side fender well

I have a 2006 Denali XL, with a 6.0, I have a catch can mounted to the alternator bracket, and the lines fit perfectly fine under the engine covers. Nothing in the way or crushed lines.

I don’t have the engine covers as you can see but my CC came with a bracket that attaches with one of the bolts for the brake booster. I tried to get a good pic but it’s a black bracket so it doesn’t show up good. You could make something similar. View attachment 361454

Very nice! Now, I see how you got your user profile name @Rocket Man !
I thought, that would be cool to have on mine. How much? Then, I looked it up.
Whoa! When I saw the supercharger was more than I paid for my rig, my dreams were crushed!
VERY cool, though! Nice build.

Got my rack, vent caps and door handle back from paint to match. Installed all but the handle. Phone was crapping out and I lost daylight, so all you get are crappy pics. Will take more later.

Guess I'll have to get Escalade hatch/glass/third light now...:D

Front sway bar link broke. Threaded part up top lifted up, contacted the passenger front brake hose and caused total brake loss when the hose let go. Fortunately, it happened in the parking lot at work. I had just driven downtown to pick up lunches, with a lot of stop and go both ways. Replaced the link and the hose.

Of course, the bolt holding the retainer clip on the upper control arm snapped off clean on the first turn (ratchet... no impact even).
Tried to drill out and the drill bit snapped in the hole!!
McGyvered my own screw in a new hole next the old hole. Good enough for now!

The upper control arm will be a spring project. There is not much, if anything left of the poly bushing up top...

Here is yesterday's project.
