Honestly, kind of a pain. I originally did it about a year ago, and I remember having to take the door paneling apart and finally tapping in behind the side view mirror. Then I routed it through as much of the factory harnesses as I could, through the door, door jamb, under the footwell, and out through the parking brake gasket. Like I said, kind of a pain.

Yea I wired mine up to a switch (so they can be on when parked, or driving lol). but I was lazy and drilled a hole in my body on the footwell lol.
I was gonna initially tap into my footwell lights cause I figure getting to the mirrors would be a pain. plus the interior lights come on with the puddle lights anyway.

Well today I actually used my heater for the first time this season.

Can anyone tell me why I seem to be able to hear my heater through the onstar speaker? It only does it with the heat not the ac. It's like a buzz that come from the speaker above the driver seat.

Thats not a speaker. You need this part...its a small fan thats making the noise. Has something to do with the temp control.
