I like the look of the tahoe lifted and the 22s with ATs but I have to say I don't like driving it as much now. I think it's because of the all terrains because they have so much resistance I don't accelerate as fast and can't break past 85 mph without smashing the pedal for a long time. After spending all the money I think I'll keep them on till they are used up or sell them. I am not sure. If I get rid of them I am going to put OEM spindles back on and level it out. 22" Texas edition wheels with HIGHWAY tires would be fine with that suspension. I would love that fast, smooth ride again.
Just get a tune from Blackbear and get that power back and then some.

There are several options for having a custom tune installed on your ECM by BlackBear Performance. Our engines and transmissions are severely "de-tuned" from the factory and you'd be surprised how much power a simple tune can gain you, as well as firmer and faster shifts. OK peeps, those of us with tunes from BlackBear, tell him! I went with the AutoCal option which allows me to change tunes myself. Any time I make a change to my truck or I want to modify my tune, BB can email me a new tune file and I can install it myself using the Autocal. I can honestly say it really woke my truck up, probably a 20 HP gain and my shifting is so much more crisp. They also adjusted my speedo for my 26" rims. They have less expensive options also, and all their tunes come with lifetime upgrades. Check them out a www.blackbearperformance.com. They're highly recommended here.

I had an in person tune with Justin about 2 years ago now on my Tahoe.

I can echo all of what Red Rocket has said. My 1-2 shift points are firm, my WOT RPM was increased, speedo adjusted and tow/haul button for a little more sporty drive through the gears.

Now I will never match the Denali power with my 4.8, but when I stomp on it she downshifts and takes off for a land yacht. Lol

She is a lot more fun to drive, hence the decrease in mpg's.

Glad I had it done. I do not have the AutoCal, but is a great option to change the tune parameters to satisfy your requirements.

In person tune last I remembered was around $300 and I drove 3.5 hrs one way to get it done. Of course tied it in with a family trip to Disney World so that was a win-win.
