I ended up taking the bolts out of the alternator so it could drop down in the bracket a little and it seemed like it helped some also.

I know when I replaced my alternator with the same size 145 amp on it was all I could do to get the belt to go back on. It took 5 times as long to get the belt back on as from start to finish on changing out the alternator.

that sounds about what I was looking at. what did you do then? just stretch the EF out of it? so same belt, dif't alternator and you had trouble?

oh ok, you dropped the alternator. hmm

Can the bulb be removed from the clear housing, and is the size stamped or written on the bulb contacts?

Used my cheap buffer to try to eliminate some swirls. Worked pretty good not nearly perfect but much better also used some 0000 steel wool on the awful chrome wheels. I need to paint these asap. Over all truck looks good the hood is the worst part

What "buffer"? I still see swirls and holograms. You should try a dual action polisher with a more aggressive cut. You can still get a sweet polish on that old girl.

Looks better then mine though!

Its a festoon bulb 42 to 44 mm fit fine. I have some big ones shoehorned in there. There is a sticky on the led swap. Good bulbs in there make a huge difference. The stock ones are worthless.
