Got my 305/45r22s on yesterday, damn tire just rubs the bracket for the control arm. Found out this fun fact about halfway home, little upset, but didn't gore anything. Gonna space it out until I can get some more offset wheels. Otherwise they look amazing! My lips are rolled, so it'll just have to look like a funky 2wd until I get new wheels eventually. I'm happy with them though!20190306_075559.jpg

Went to the Junkyard this past weekend. Was mostly looking for a dashboard for my Ram, but hey you know how it is... won't pass up a good part if ya seen one, am I right?

The trucks they had JUST GOTTEN IN on Friday were already robbed of the dashboards by the time I got there Saturday morning.. not really all that surprised, I guess. So I got the hood hinges I needed, found a couple different overhead consoles and snagged the wiring harness, a door latch cable for one of the rear doors, and a full set of Kicker door speakers. Planning on throwing them in the Tahoe.... if I can make the 6x9's fit (and if they work).

As I was leaving, I remembered that the Tahoe needed a jack and the jack tools.... I must've looked through 10 GMT800s of various body styles searching for them damn things until I finally found the jack.... then searched through another 5 more when I finally found the tools. Then, I walked past a black esky with the rear vent panels still intact.... DIBS! Also remembered that my brother-in-law needed a new dash bezel. So I grabbed one for him.... turns out, it was a double-DIN bezel and he doesn't want a double-din radio. (so @Tonyrodz , I appreciate the offer, but I won't be needing the bezel anymore ;) ).

Got a couple more things, but I can't remember for the life of me what they were. Totalled out at about 80 bucks though.

Forgot to get pics.

All that for $80 is a score!!

Why so cheap? Nice looking car

might be the miles on it. iirc it has like 60 k on it. ive seen em with over a 100 and the price drops. most what im finding is under 50 k miles.

some of these people are nuts, asking 20 k for a 2010 20k on its clock lol yeah you can keep that car pal. its still used. for sure the factory tires are beat. with or with out tread on em. aka timed out.

DAYUUUMMM!! 6.2!! I hope you get it. Good luck!

me too!!!

ive yet to call and see what that car will do to my insurance, did find out we got open garages here for 75 a month. no way i can let a nice car sit in my parking lot. next to find out if i fit and like it enough. and its got a moon roof, from what i hear they kill 2-3 inches of head room. im 6'6 and will need to wear a helmet at some point inside this car.....you know it will be ran down a 1/4 mile track. so i got a few hurdles to get past still. finding one with no moon roof and a auto seems to be difficult. if i was 20 years old, id be all over that manual shift, but im well past that crap...i really used to like a manual, but after driving a roll off truck for 10 years and like a million miles. im done with shifting.

regal would have to go, and the hoe would become the daily driver. i dont need 3 cars. sadly unless i find some kid that wants to buy a modded regal, its gonna get a part out. and that makes me kinda sad, but its the only way ill come close to recouping what ive got invested into a 20 year old car.

Why so cheap? Nice looking car

well after seeing it in person i know why so cheap, its got door dings up and down both side the car, small dents on every panel of the car, scratches all over too, needs brakes and tires. guys like well we can work on the price.... i walked 16 K for a car that needs paint and body work? no thanks. says hes got a black one for abut 20 k with 20,000 miles hes gonna bring over this after noon. so ill look at it. but i really dont want black, i really want a blue one. but orange would work, or the slate grey.

the good news is my lanky ass fits pretty good.

I've actually done this project more than a year ago, but only cared to take pix last weekend.

This is an Android unit, I think it was around $200. So far, I couldn't be happier. It does everything I need and beyond. I installed a bunch of apps from Google Play, including Waze, Torque Pro, Maps, Weather, Poweramp, you name it.

It is connected to this amp:

Sound quality is good for my ears. I connected it to existing steering wheel controls. It even has a dash cam (last 2 pix). And I connected it to a rear view camera, which was a royal PITA. More on that later.

All specs are in my build thread.
