If it's the stripping above the windshield--afaik--that can only be replaced if the windshield comes out.

I can tell you what that is. It's the windshield above your passenger door.

Technically I think it's referred to as the upper windshield trim. Google that and you should find some options.

me too!!!

ive yet to call and see what that car will do to my insurance, did find out we got open garages here for 75 a month. no way i can let a nice car sit in my parking lot. next to find out if i fit and like it enough. and its got a moon roof, from what i hear they kill 2-3 inches of head room. im 6'6 and will need to wear a helmet at some point inside this car.....you know it will be ran down a 1/4 mile track. so i got a few hurdles to get past still. finding one with no moon roof and a auto seems to be difficult. if i was 20 years old, id be all over that manual shift, but im well past that crap...i really used to like a manual, but after driving a roll off truck for 10 years and like a million miles. im done with shifting.

regal would have to go, and the hoe would become the daily driver. i dont need 3 cars. sadly unless i find some kid that wants to buy a modded regal, its gonna get a part out. and that makes me kinda sad, but its the only way ill come close to recouping what ive got invested into a 20 year old car.
That would suck if you had to part it out :(

I've actually done this project more than a year ago, but only cared to take pix last weekend.

This is an Android unit, I think it was around $200. So far, I couldn't be happier. It does everything I need and beyond. I installed a bunch of apps from Google Play, including Waze, Torque Pro, Maps, Weather, Poweramp, you name it.

It is connected to this amp:

Sound quality is good for my ears. I connected it to existing steering wheel controls. It even has a dash cam (last 2 pix). And I connected it to a rear view camera, which was a royal PITA. More on that later.

All specs are in my build thread.

Sounds pretty awesome! I’ll have to check out your build thread. I’ve been saying hell no to replacing the factory unit on my ‘03, mostly due to cost, with all the cables/ adapters to get steering wheel controls, etc.. but would really like a backup camera. Does this also retain factory chimes?

Nice! Was it this one?

It's a toss up for me between that one, and these other two....

Glad to hear you're happy with the Joying though... that helps in the decision making process.

what it comes down to is, im not giving away 2k in performance parts. so ill take it all off and recoup, everyone always asks me, why you have all these boxes of old parts, those are the stock parts, never know when i might need these again.

if someone was to buy it as is. id have to get 3,000 no less, its also coming with a set of snow tires on 17's and the pair of mounted dr's. its also got a new 1400 dollar tranny in it. less then 5k on that. everything under the car is new over the last 2 years.

Finally got to be a balmy 31* today, so I did my overdue oil change. Blackstone has been telling me to push my OCIs, which I've said I won't, but well......here we are. 5797 miles. They told me to run 6k. I don't like the feeling, or seeing that number. Got a good sample so we'll see what the report says in a while.

Mobil 1 5W30 high milage (149119 on the rig)
Mobil 1 M1-107A filter

Catch can about normal (though not nearly as milkshake like last time it was winter)
20190306_174305.jpg

Added stainless scrubber for the first time. I put a little piece in between the filters in the baffle, and the rest of the chunk in the can.

There's one filter under here ...

One on top....

Capped...

In the can.

Already anxious to see if it catches any more this time around. It can't hurt, I suppose.

Pressure looking good, will report lab results. This will be my third analysis in a row.
