Yep, I've been using Amsoil for years. I run the Amsoil XL series and change it about every 8,000 miles. I sometimes get over a year on a oil change.
This what I got for the yukon. I plan to change it a lot sooner than what it’s recommended for. Went with it mainly for the cleaning aspect. Got the oe for the impala b649d092fdda58f16a2d30e57edca1f4.jpg

Nice. I had a really nice Sony android. I should've kept it, but I needed my cd/dvd option.

Yeah I've had a lot of good experience with Sony. Been curious about their Android HU's. This is really just an interim option until I can get the one I REALLY want for it. After that, this one will probably just go in the Ram. I'm giving the wife the good stuff.... for me... well, I've been bumpin' along to cobbled together systems for 20+ years. Doesn't bother me much.

Curious to know if this installs without cutting the support bracket in the radio compartment, as well as your eval of the quality.

I would imagine it would as it's much "shallower" than even the factory HU. There's no DVD/CD drive, so it's about 2" less deep than a traditional HU.

I'm planning on an un-boxing/review on my YouTube channel. I'll post the link once it's up.

I got those also. Got mine from eBay. Love them32ae17ec05156baa9c47136a5290ae7d.jpg

Factory radio took a shit. We were on our way to my mother-in-law's house and the sound was cutting out.

"What the crap?"
"Oh yeah, it's been doing that", my wife says.
"Uh... for how long?"
"I dunno, couple weeks?"
(You married fellas can relate to this next question)
"So uh... when were ya planning on telling me?"
"I don't know, I thought you knew.. you drive it too!"
"It's not done it when I drive it..."

No sooner did I say that, than did the sound cut out and not come back at all.

Ordered a cheapy chinese made double DIN touchscreen w/ nav, bluetooth, backup cam, and all that jazz off of amazon for 169. Had like 4.5 starts with about 500 or so reviews. Figured it couldn't be that bad. At least she'd have some tunes until I can afford to get the radio I want for it.

Got here today. Gonna try and knock out the install tomorrow.

Did you buy all the necessary extras like steering wheel control adapter, wiring harness, antenna adapter, mounting kit, etc?

This weekend I installed some new license plate lights. Found em on Amazon for 20 bucks. It's not just bulbs, it's a complete replacement lamp housing. I read the reviews and everyone said they were bright as all hell. The only bad reviews were because they are TOO bright. Lol. One guy said that he can't use his backup camera at night because the plate lights blind the camera.

Next up on the list is to wash this filthy beast. It's literally been months since I have washed it.
Holy cow those are bright.

A little too much for me i think lol. Yeah my caddy is turning yellow from the pollen here. Looks terrible and i washed and spray waxed it 2 weeks ago!

Hey, I just ran across this video. I'll still probably do one for my own channel, but for some instant gratification, this goes along with the reviews I read on Amazon. Pretty kickass little unit.

I already have a metra harness for it. Installed an old Kenwood unit that finally bit the bullet, so I pulled that out and replaced it with the stock unit. Saved the harness because I knew I'd be installing an aftermarket unit.

I believe I have an adapter laying around somewhere too... but I didn't need one with the Kenwood, so I don't know if I'll need one with this or not.

The unit already comes with mounting brackets and I'll make my own shroud for the gaps. Did that for a pontiac that I had and it looked pretty killer.

I don't have any steering wheel controls, so I won't need that, but it comes with a harness for the interface... so if any of you are looking for that, you'll be pleased to know that as well.

Comes with external mic, GPS antenna, WiFi antenna, USB extension cable, and a cable that is used for 2A quick charge connected to the back of the unit.

Planning on adding a dash cam, backup cam, OBDII bluetooth, and ATOTO's steering wheel control to it down the road.

Sylvania ZEVO 194 are ridiculously bright

The brake lights are factory LED that is running lights, the brake lights are quite a bit brighter... I just bought some Zevo projector 4157R signals rated at 2.2watts @ 14.2v for the signals

20190323_193443.jpg..

if those don't work out i might get some G6.35 base 35w bulb (50 watt rated output osarm 860lm)

those bulbs sure to make people pay attention maybe even light up the whole back of the street behind me.. there is no limit to the lm output on the signals just the brake lights them selfs
