That’s saying it lost communication with your obd2 port, probably the same thing that keeps happening with your Tech2. I think you have an issue where your obd port is losing connection. Might be a messed up terminal in the connector or something where it’s losing a connection.Been trying to figure this bb shit out. Really confusing. Went on the site and downloaded the efi live, but I'm still stumped.View attachment 275258 View attachment 275259 View attachment 275260
That's just hooked up to the laptop. Aren't I suppose to download something into it 1st before hooking up to the obd? I did buy it used. Can't figure it out--especially on the laptop end. That’s saying it lost communication with your obd2 port, probably the same thing that keeps happening with your Tech2. No. It’s configured already. You just need to follow Blackbear’s instructions for collecting your stock tune files from your truck. No wonder you got that error code. And when it’s connected to your laptop you don’t mess with the Autocal itself, you just do stuff on the computer as in transfer files from there to the Autocal or vice versa. Follow BB’s instructions, stay off EFI Live’s website or you’ll just get confused. Here ya go. Follow these instructions to the letter. BB makes it pretty easy. That's just hooked up to the laptop. I went there and clicked on the upper right where it says" gas vehicles".No. It’s configured already. Did you follow the instructions where it tells you how to get to the screen that shows the licenses? In efilive, hit F7 licenses, then hit F2 hardware and you’ll see the serial number then hit F3 VIN’s and you’ll see the authorization code. You might just want to call them, they can step you through it if you’re ready to buy.I went there and clicked on the upper right where it says" gas vehicles".
Says I need an authorization code--View attachment 275274
How do I get that? Mine is configured for E38, which I don't have, I bought it used.
It was wrong info so I deleted it.Mark what happened to your post?? Didn't you post after me?
2003 clusters will work straight after soldering in a step motor. 2004+ clusters would require removing flash memory and flipping a couple of bits in the firmware.I can't say enough about how easy it was to deal with fixmygauges.com. Great customer service and I got my cluster in three days from my order. Very happy customer here! I decided to go mild on the options, maybe later I'll get the stainless gauge faces. Thanks for the help everyone on where to go!
***EDIT***
Does anyone know if there is anything I need to do to get the transmission temperature gauge to work correctly? Or does it just work plug n play? I haven't driven it since the install.
