I figured it probably has 300k and he's lying to me also. He takes forever to respond and it's hasn't been with a phone number or address yet so I'm not too optimistic. There is another guy with the same combo from a truck with a rusted out frame about an hour from me.

I might try this guys trick to put a red o-ring and maybe a new pump in, but I'm afraid I already drove too far on it. I really just want to know what the problem was at this point.
I’d pull an oil sample and send it to Blackstone, then pull the pan and filter and inspect it for metal. That should tell you how much damage was done.

I really don't want to pull the pan again, lol. Idk if the oil pump is any easier though.

The oil pump is harder plus you pretty much have to pull the pan to do it. You need to remove the balancer, front cover and timing chain. I mean, there’s supposedly a cheat where you loosen the front of the pan and let it hang down a bit and then stuff a rag in so you can’t drop the bolt into it but I have heard getting the pickup tube bolts in is almost impossible. I wouldn’t try replacing the pump with the pan on myself.

Got a bit of Christmas money that I'm dumping back into the old girl. I ordered a weld together steel bumper kit for a Jeep XJ ($140) that I'll be adapting to the Tahoe, and I bought a few sticks of steel to start building a roof rack. Also going to build a swing out tire carrier and the wife and I are going to start saving towards a roof top tent so we can go camping more this summer.

Pretty sure I replaced the ps O2 sensor, which @Scottydoggs helped me to diagnose--actually he diagnosed. My down stream O2's are tuned out, so nothing to worry about there. The only code I have is a maf sensor, P 0103. I've swapped to a known good maf with no change. It's a "soft code". It doesn't light the cel, but it's always there when I scan for codes. Been there since I got it tuned--tuner was an ice hole lol.
R u sure u installed a correct part#? Maybe u installed an AFR instead of O2 sensor or the part is just incorrect?

Yeah this isn’t the kind of a thread that you start at the beginning and read through to the end. I mean, it’s going on 40,000 posts.
I have issues. I would do such a thing. Would take me damn near a year but I’d do it.

I still wish this forum would go to 40 or 50 posts per page tho. Then it would be hella easy. But I’m sure the ads would suffer some.
