It actually wasn’t bad at all. I have been in auto collision for the past 15 years so I tried something with the vinyl that I usually do with factory decals.. have a bucket of fresh water and put 2 to 3 DROPS of DAWN dish soap… throw a brand new micro fiber rag in with it and buy a brand new plastic spreader… After cleaning the area you’re going to wrap very good with a whole different set of cleaning material you can then start to separate the wrap from the paper and just start soaking the roof with the clean water and also the wrap. This will let u be able to move it around a little and not just stick to the first place it touches.
Also I have done my homework and it is the exact same stuff that is triple in price. I bought the vinyl at hobby lobby it’s a whole lot cheaper and it’s the exact same product. Perfect for DIY projects.

Thanks for passing along that tip about the Hobby Lobby vinyl. Is it wide enough to cover or do you have a seam(s)?

What they have in stock isn't I have to seems in the middle so three parts but you can order the wider one

I was actually considering the hood also but mixed emotions about it in my household

I think I might've figured out why it's running like crap once it's "warmed up". It's been going on for a few months now. When it's cold it runs fine, and once driving it's running really rough. You can even hear it in the exhaust. I noticed the temp gauge doesn't go past 160, even if it's been driven for awhile. I'm thinking the thermostat is staying open, not allowing it to go into closed loop--just a theory. I haven't been able to confirm the temp with the tech 2, but I'm pretty sure that's what's going on.

Opinions?

I would agree that the thermostat is the most logical culprit here. Thankfully it's relatively easy (and cheap) to replace so I'd say go for it.

Or, less likely, the engine coolant temp sensor is mis-reporting to the PCM.
Even if the stat was stuck open, wouldn't the entire system reach normal operating temp at some point? Unless it was like 0 degrees (or below) outside, wouldn't it get there eventually after running for a while (even with a stat stuck open)?
While unlikely, as you say, I would still be willing to think the sensor sending suspect data to the ECM is still possible.
