Coming back home I realized the AC wasn't working on my 99 Silverado (DFW to Lubbock for job visit.)

Got home and checked fuses and relay and everything was good. I decided to check the belt and it had snapped. Doh!

When I parked at the hotel the night before I do remember I heard a weird screech. So maybe the tensioner is actually the bad one? I'll order a new belt and tensioner.

Just a few days ago I ordered an AC belt for my 06 Suburban because it had a bit of cracks. I even thought about ordering a pair, to have a spare, but I didn't. So I'll get something from the local parts store.

Probably the tensioner seized up. Fairly common issue, happened to my 03 too.
