Want to guess what I did today?...

one 36mm nut Two 18mm bolts, Three 15mm bolts, one wire clothes hanger, a T30 driver, a Hammer, a bigger hammer, a sledge hammer, chisel... some other extra tools here and there and about 4hrs of interrupted work... not a single beer.. finished in the dark.

Dang that hub nut was stubborn today, I really need to invest in an air setup, or at least a longer breaker bar.

I couldn't even turn the hub by hand once it was off the truck, it was barely making noise starting yesterday.

Well it goes to show replace things in pairs, both hub bearing assemblies wore out nearly the same time, just glad it didn't happen during our little road trip.

My wife is getting concerned that we may have bought something that requires too much "love"

I never thought to use a fence post / ground rod driver as a breaker bar. Great idea!
lol, I was trying to break some impossible lug nuts years ago and I didn't have anything to use and started trying to think how i could improvise and I saw this was hollow on the end, I have been cracking bolts like butter ever since. you'd be surprised where you can get this thing especially since the hole is so big as long as it can get some bite it works.

I used to have a large breaker bar that allowed another 1/2" drive wrench to be plugged in behind it for more leverage. Ironically I broke it. :-/

Don't need air for that stuff. I put mine on the ground, pop the center cap and hit it with either of my cordless impacts, crappy old Craftsman or my new Milwaukee 12v stubby. Before impacts a 4ft piece of conduit over a 1/2 rachet did the trick.

Here in MO we can only legally have windshield tint down to the AS1 line. Thats only about 3"-4"

2001 Yukon SLT
2012 Yukon Denali XL
2011 Yukon Denali RIP 5/20/18

ppppbbbbbbttttt, thats what they say....I had my tint about 2" past that, never had an issue.
