Is that the bigger TB with the "gold" throttle plate???

If so, did you notice any difference over the stock TB???

I have heard it improves throttle response.

I believe the stock TB is 87mm and the LS7 is 90mm. The bigger TB probably does improve response because a 90mm hole opened a given percentage will flow more air than an 87mm hole at that same percentage. You can achieve LS7 TB throttle response with the stock TB by pressing the pedal a little further. Speaking of, remember that you can subconsciously press the pedal a little further by performing the "Italian Throttle Mod". :rolleyes:

Just checked... Yukon was rated 10HP lower than the Tahoe. But the E85 HP/TQ specs are the same.

So for a Yukon driver, running E85 would provide a 16HP increase.

That's probably a typo. Notice all the others say 320hp, even the yukon XL

Yep... I thought about that.. but pretty sure I read it somewhere else as well.... who knows for sure... what's 10HP amongst friends really anyway.

Pulled the intake manifold on my 6.0 thinking maybe I had a leak causing my rough idle when stopped in Drive. Even after reading all the blow by/catch can threads I wasn’t prepared for the amount of oil in the intake! 219k of blow by adds up! I ordered metal intake gaskets because the interchange applied across all 6.0s and that’s what I put in the ‘00, turns out that’s not true. I’ll have to get the proper gaskets tomorrow, all FelPro lists for the ‘09 is plastic. Not thrilled about that but can’t do anything about it. Until tomorrow...

If this doesn’t clear up the rough idle I’m going to be annoyed. It’s downright awful.

The 310 HP rating was for 2007-2009 Tahoes, Yukons, Suburbans, Avalanches and Yukon XLs equipped with the aluminum block LC9. The engine was rated for 310 HP @ 5200 RPMs and 335 FTLBS Torque @ 4400 RPMS. The iron block LMG was rated for 320 HP @ 5200 RPMs and 340 FTLBS Torque @ 4200 RPMs.

The LC9 was used in the XFE Tahoe and Yukon models and in many but not all 4WD Suburbans, Avalanches and Yukon XLs.

When both engines received new camshafts and VVT in 2010, they were both rated for 320 @ 5400 for horsepower and 335 @ 4000 for torque.

Mine feels great on E85 but I really should make a few passes down the 1/4 mile on gasoline to see if the BlackBear tune is faster.

I do not run 87 in my truck and probably never will. Don't run 87 in anything, not in decades. Anyhow, mine gets about 3 mpg less than 93 octane gasoline in combined city/highway driving on average. The cost difference right now is six cents per mile, a huge plus for running E85. Twenty cents a mile on gasoline versus fourteen cents a mile on E85.

Drove from Whidbey Island Washington yesterday to Redding Cali and stopped for the night, currently on day 2 and about halfway to Bakersfield, the pass with snow and fog was killer last night but looks like good driving weather for the next few days.
