mine does not leak or use a drop, however I habitually check it about every 2 weeks, i also get under the truck and check for leaks and worn or missing parts about once a month. i drive it like I stole it so I have to keep it maintained properly.

I'm sure I will get nailed to a cross for this, but who actually checks their oil with a dipstick. I never even check it. I change the oil at 4-5k and go about my day. Never bother checking how much the dipstick says is in there. Drain it, put new filter on and add 6 gal of synthetic and be done with it.
You're spending way more than you need to on oil. Try 6 qts next time.

Haha you got me on that one. It is 6 qts not gallons. But seriously though, what's the point. I get it, there are alot of enthusiasts here, passionate, whatever you want to call it. But if you change your oil regularly and check for spots underneath, then is it really necessary? You're spending way more than you need to on oil. for me it's just routine, while I am getting gas i will occasionally pop the hood check the oil, look at my belts, look for anything unusual, worn or rubbing hoses or lines, coolant leaks, look at my brake fluid level, power steering, etc I learned a long time ago if I take care of my vehicle it is likely to take care of me. I also do the same thing if I have it worked on anywhere I look under the hood to verify work was performed, check for loose or missing parts, mostly I have found tools a couple times loose connectors, the engine cover was missing one timeHaha you got me on that one. I see no need to. I don't drive like a mad man, but I get on it every now and then. A lot of city driving/stop and go. 157k and still no issues that I know of regarding oil consumption. I add about a qt after 4k miles when the light tells me low oil and then change it at 5k. It's been like that since I bought it at 60k miles.
Not trying to argue, just honestly see no real benefits of it besides personal preference/gratification.
Well. I see it was on a lift.. those tires don’t look new.. looks like there may be a small puddle of something (oil?) under there.. wanna tell us what you did?
Using another tech's bay. Oil not from mine. Put new wheels on my wife's Yukon. Used the tires from my tahoe LTZ 20's from mine when i got my 22's.Well.
