ya I was like ah ****, at least my kids are here I can have them grab some cooking oil from the kitchen, lol after a couple tries I managed to get out of it, getting the nut tightened back up was the hardest part because it's facing the opposite direction and so it threads the opposite way i'm glad it was kinda loose taking it off the first time, if the bumper was off it would be a lot easier, now I just need to know how much to torque the engine ground strap.
I’d say TAF. I never use a torque wrench on things like ground straps.
hah, I am mr break a bolt though, last thing I need is broken ground bolt in the head, I made it about 50lbs or so
Aha. The only bolt I’ve ever broke was one that was rusty and I was trying to remove it.
it had threads in the head for the bolt, so I don't know but I cranked it to 50lbs it was a little tighter than that at first then I loosened it a little, so it was it is...lol I didn't see the 18lbs until I started poking thru the service manual.
