I’ve seen people use tree rivets with a little silicone or RTV to plug holes as well. They are low profile.

on my old s10 i put poly on the front and rear sways and the LCAs. Litte bumps felt more harsh but big bumps felt more smooth. For sure made it feel better during spirited drives.I supported the frame with jack stands and then put a floor jack under the wheel to adjust that side of the axle up or down as needed. BTW I felt zero difference as far as vibrations or anything else with the poly bushings.
