I'm eyeing the Boost Auto 2015+ style mirrors adapted to fit the NNBS doors. I really want to get a pair but I have to wait for an excuse to get them. My passenger side auto fold motor is broken but thats not good enough for me yet lol.
You can get the mirrors off of Syppo for a bit less and just buy the wiring harness. That's what I did.

Took the wife, daughter, and daughter's friend to Eckerts in Millstadt, Illinois to pick apples and get our pumpkins.

Parked next to a Suburban with Alaska plates. It hax Western Hauler fender badges on it, and three receiver hitches on the rear bumper, which I thought was odd. What would a setup like that be used for? e1bdae6ded058c0da5fbea9ce96068bb.jpg

Western Hauler, isn't that a GMC big rig out of Canada? Is that a 2500?

Western Hauler is a company that does "conversions" on trucks, mainly duallys. They put alot of the tow beds on them like for people pulling horse trailers and such.

They are kinda like a "Sherrod" conversion van.

I think the "big rig" you may be thinking about is Western Star and they are built by Freightliner.

Here is Western Haulers site...

Yep!

Only 3 major Class 7/8 truck manufacturers now.

Daimler has Freightliner, Western Star & Sterling (used to be Louisville and Ford before that)

Paccar has Kenworth and Peterbuilt

Volvo Has Volvo and Mack.

Edit: Forgot about International so 4

When I was in the business, Internationals were a maintenance nightmare. Even our church buses! And those 1990s Sterlings were worse! Volvo's had a unique rear suspension with a dog bone that was constantly breaking and wearing out bushings. Mack's were expensive but tough, Freightliner's were the Chevrolets of trucks and KWs the Cadillacs!

Those 1000 cubic inch Macks could pull a mountain!

I never had to work on the trucks themselves, just mount equipment to them when I designed dump boxes, and snow truck equipment.

Never put much on Western Stars because they were the heaviest of them all and payload took a hit.
County and State road departments liked either Internationals (gutless wonders with typical configs) or Macks. Like you said, the Mack's could take anything you threw at them. Get up north in Northern Wisconsin and Michigan or upstate New York where they get a lot of lake-effect snow and Oshkosh was pretty common as well. A lot of the private haulers drove Kenworth and Peterbilts with a few Volvo's. Could really tell when testing at the local quarry and had a dump box filled with sand which ones had the power and which ones didn't.

Got a new battery old one kicked the bucket 12v+ :)

How's the engine now?

In West Palm we had a lot of trucks converted to dumps and because they weren't done right, they were always breaking down and keeping us busy. 12K front axles on a dump truck! 32s and 38s for the rears and they were always breaking springs and bags! Bags on a dump truck! We had a joke, how do you make a million dollars with a dump truck? Start with two million! Towards the end of my time, we started seeing the popularity of Volvos grow along with automatic transmissions in the Volvos especially. Because they were easier to drive, companies began replacing their more experienced drivers with those fresh out of truck driving school.

I cringed anytime someone said they were converting a over the road tractor to a dump truck. Airbags were a big NO-NO for us on dump trucks. Makes them too unstable on any sort of side slope and more than a few ended up on their side because of airbags. The other issue was people wanting to extend their frame rails by splicing them which sometimes ended up with a truck that was broke in half at the splice.

Maybe a pilot car?

Bet @Jolly Roger knows. He’s from Alaska and should be up in the various customs from the great state of Alaska.

I have no freakin clue....but I do feel less endowed now..:(

Ive never seen anything like it at all, and now its bothering me. First thought is a custom wrack for hauling firewood or mountain bikes,...then there's the sled dog thing.?
