Thanks for the info. If the shark antenna is over the drivers side front seat, I can’t imagine water making its way all the way to the passenger side rear pillar like that. Would a faulty door weather strip cause this?

I couldn’t tell that’s what was wet. But yes I guess that could come from a weatherstrip but I would think it would run down from the door. That’s an odd place for a leak.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Went outside to move her and just saw this leak. This is the first real rain we have had in San Diego in over 6 months. Checked the roof rack and it’s tight. No noticeable rust holes. Any clues? 5725431ffb5c5a90b6d3b632cd5b93f3.jpg

She sits front end high in driveway so wonder if the leak is somewhere up front? But still doesn’t make sense. So frustrating!!!

What about the black plastic strips in the roof line? Any of those loose or sticking up? Maybe next time it rains park the other way ans see what happens. Is the carpet at the bottom wet at all?

I removed my roof rack and there are blind nuts in the sheet metal under the mounts. And the bolts were rusted so water does get in there to some degree at least in my experience.

I’ll take a look tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions. She is at almost 200K mikes so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the weather strips are cracked or loose.

The black plastic strips just cover a welded seam that’s sealed. It could leak if the seam sealer has failed but highly unlikely. They’re not weatherstrips, they’re just for appearance. The blind nuts are mounted on the top of the sheet metal in a pocket of sorts, not the underside. There’s no penetrations through the roof. Yes they can rust but like I said they don’t ********* the roof. If you remove the bolts you should replace them so water doesn’t sit in there.

I wasn't sure about what was under the black strips, thanks for the info. I siliconed all those bolt holes shut.
