So before I bought my 3" lift spindles, I bought a Traxda 2.5" Leveling Kit from Amazon and somehow they messed up with the shipping and eventually I got the kit for free. Well I didn't think I would ever get around to using them, but I have seen a few people run the 3" spindles and the leveling kit and apparently it worked fine for them. So I said what the hell and installed it. Hindsight I wish I would have gone with the 4.5" lift spindles, but I'm ok for now. I bought the lifetime alignment from Firestone too, so I"ll have that done tomorrow. Before with just the lift spindles I had a slight rub even after trimming a bunch, and now there is no rubbing at all. It did however cause the front to be about 1.5"-2" inches higher than the rear. So I decided to pull the trigger on a set of open box Moog 81069 Coil Springs (Z71 coils) to even it out. They were like $30 and in pretty much new condition with a little dust on them.

Damn that looks nice. I wanna do about the same amount of lift on mine, but I wanna do it with king coilovers in the front and like you did, z71 springs in the back.
I need to make some calls and find out what all is involved because it'll be a z55 delete and 3 to 3.5" in front and then what? an inch in the back? I think it'll be exactly what I'm looking for.

Had to reopen my passenger side headlight, some water got in from when the lens sagged from the butyl getting warm. That opened a whole new thing because i ended up twisting the projector, BOOOO!!! so i had to realign it all but we're back in business.


Also changed plugs in the wife's equinox...its pretty dumb because you have to pull the intake manifold off to get to one of them. But it runs REALLY good now

Had a long and ambitious list of things to do to the truck this weekend. Weather was cool and free of rain for a few days.

In the end, my children and I crossed half of the items off the list. My youngest learned the difference between a differential and oil pan, so did my wallet! She even took an oil sample of 80W90! LOL

Discovered that the dipstick tube was not broken, just the mount from the tubing, so we left it. I think I will use some tie straps though to limit its movement. My back is sore and my youngest threw hers out so am kinda glade we didn't drop the rear crossmember to get the new dipstick tube in for the transmission. While the tube was out, my plan was to take a sample of trans fluid from there. Now have to figure another way.

TC rear seal and axle pinion seal, still sweating, not even weeping. Left those alone. All vent tubes still in place and clear. My #2 fixed one of the cigar lighters, helped to take the dash apart and the cigar lighter and then bent the metal so the plastic would grab and hold again. Replaced the overheating dash cam with a new one.

Had the passenger side mirror partially disassembled to repair the folding feature (been sitting on the parts for nigh 3 years now!) but ran out of down time and had to put it all back together. Cleaned the mirror cap in the sink with dawn dish soap, no more bug residue!

Skeeters showed up in droves even though the nights have been in the 30s and 40s, most unusual, so we called it a night, bath tomorrow after church.

That new Craftsman Creeper I bought my daughter for her birthday worked great with the new steel ramps that put the truck 3 inches higher! And yet, somehow I managed to get 80W90 in my hair!

Oh, we changed out the air filter too. Two years and 28K miles ago I put in a brand new HD air filter, the A3085C and replaced with same. Was not as dirty as I would have thought. Paper was a light gray, not a lot of debris fell out of it. It's twice as thick as the skinny K&N I originally bought for it. Which reminds me, I should sell it.

You might want to add JB Weld or something similar to the nuts on the back of the projectors once they’re dialed in so they can never move again no matter what.
