I'm trying to not get my hopes up a whole lot since there are some extenuating circumstances beyond our controls, but the deal's looking very possible. I really doubt I'll have dyno figures, but I live less than 5 miles from a 1/4 mile strip so I can calculate from that.

Now I'm wishing I had gotten some baseline runs at the track.

...Hmmm. I'm 8 miles shy of 200K. It'd be cool to hit 200K miles at WOT on the big end of the strip!
I really wanna hit the drag strip. Im not too far from woodburn but i can never figure out what events i’m allowed to show up to based on their event schedule. I really wish they had something like yellowbelly where its $20 to get in for the night and you just make passes

went and picked up the running board and splash guard, learned how to break the chrome trim piece off  the board I bought had some chips in the chrome on the front part, I managed to salvage my front part, then I was comparing the back part and thought mine looked better so I proceeded to break both  so now I have to order a new rear piece, I was hoping to find some aftermarket ones because each piece is a $100 and each side takes 2 pieces but no luck so far, but I learned something new you have to take the front end cap off to remove the clip to get the front chrome piece off from the front, then the rear chrome piece comes off from the back first. splash guard went on easy peasy.

Such nights are usually called "Test-N-Tune" and happen on weeknights.

March 8th, 15th, 22nd and 28th for you at Woodburn!

Actual tech 2. Finally decided to pull the trigger when i get back to the states. I thought you needed a computer for programming and certain features.

I’m late in the game to respond but you’ll need Win10 to use the ACdelco TDS if you want support; their tech support is good. Buy a genuine Tripp Lite Keyspan brand USB to Serial converter ($28) too don’t use a Chinese junk substitute.

Damn I wanna go. $50 is pretty good. I need to do more data logging and get a helmet before I get serious about going though. With my tune file theres two things I need to do. 1 is make sure I’m not getting any torque management limiting throttle, though that’s different than turning it off. You don’t want it off on a mostly stock 4L60e. Good way to get 5 neutrals. Second is I need to dial in the rpms for the 4 -> 2 at WOT. Right now if I’m doing 70 and smash the throttle it won’t downshift to second even though there’s more than enough rpm for it to do that. It’ll only go to down to 3rd and its not making high power there like it would in 2nd. Not needed for drag racing but its something to look at.

My neighbor also has a full set of 17” steelies for the tahoe. They have a new set of winter tires on them from 7 years ago. I think I’ll take two of them to the drag strip for the rears because they’re gonna be way lighter than the 20s and I won’t feel bad about doing burnouts on a $1500 set of all terrains

That's how State Capitol Raceway by me is. Unless it changed, it's $10 per spectator and $20 to race.

Yup! At my track, unless a formal event takes its place, Fridays are usually TNTs. Sundays, too, but they're more of daytime events and we prefer to go in the evening/night.

Before life took over, I would grab a daiquiri from a drive-thru place down the road and spend a few hours there almost every Friday night.
