Pump issues which led to harsh shifts. They updated in I believe 09-10, somewhere in there. They also have converter issues and pressure control solenoids fail with decent mileage.

It’s more of a tomorrow thing, but I’m pretty sure our 2013 has a bad front passenger side wheel bearing. It started out as a kind of whine a couple days ago my wife said, but when I drove it tonight, it’s really growling. Louder on left turns almost gone on right turns and gets louder when going through dips. Haven’t got it up on a jack to wiggle and spin the wheel yet, but I’m pretty sure that’s what it is.

Fortunately, I have a spare from a previous project so it’s probably getting put on tomorrow night.

Those are known issue's in general with the 6l80 never heard of it being associated with any particular years
Considering they updated the pump I’d say the earlier ones had an issue newer ones do not (mechanically not in the tune). There was also a TSB for clutch seal rolling/leaking on the earlier ones and was supposedly the cause for flare ups/hard shifts.

07 was the split between nnbs and classics. HD gassers got 6l80’s.

I was asking about the 07-08 Denali’s that got the 6l80 but then I was told I was wrong so.
must be so then I just was told it was the common problem, when I was shopping for mine I completely skipped 07-09 and concentrated on the 2010's+ mostly because of wider range of parts compatibility later on down the road.

Haven't noticed any year to year problems with the 6L80 mentioned on the forums but have seen production changes to improve things.

I had an 07 2500HD and had flares pretty regularly. Ended up selling it as it wasn’t a good fit for what I needed but that truck could of benefitted from a tune at the very least.
