I've noticed that my trans temp runs a bit warmer since I changed my fluid and filter a couple weeks ago.
I really didn't pay much attention to the trans temps in the weeks leading up to the fluid change, but compared to last summer the trans temps are higher.
Last summer on the trip to NOLA, then to Destin, and back, the trans temp only hit a high of about 175* and stayed mostly in the 155-165* range on the highway.
The past week I've noticed it'll get up to 185-190* with it being 90-95* outside, and this morning when it was only 75* it stayed right around 160*.
I know this temp range falls in the normal range and well below the limits, but just kind of curious why it's running 10-15* warmer with fresh fluid, unless the old fluid had some additive in it.
I'm still planning on installing a larger cooler. I don't think I'm gonna go with that huge Tru-Cool 40k, but maybe with the Hayden 698 with the built-in bypass.
