Operation Quiet Down has started.

Amazon delivered a B shape self adhesive weatherstrip.

After looking at the rear doors which have full 360 degree inner and outers, the fronts have an inner but the outer is broken into areas.

I added a third seal un the upper forward portion of the B pillar.

It is outlined in orange. I did a better job on the passenger side... but both doors still function- no road test yet.

The next job is when the u shaped weatherstrip arrives and will put it on the the lower leading edge of the rear door continuing the weartherstrip thats there...

You peaked my interest here. I replaced my original seal and the new one fuggin leaks air, like REALLY drafty around the bottom half of the door you can feel it on your left leg or if you reach down. And of course the means cold draft in the winter/hot draft in the summer. Really pisses me off I paid good money for that seal and it matches the old one.

Is that a decent quality seal you got there from Amazon? Is the adhesive strong? Got a link?

Did you replace the one around the door opening or the one on the door?

The one around the opening. Looks identical to the old one. Don't know why I have such nasty draft. I adjusted the door striker in to get rid of it and it doesn't match the body lines on the outside so I backed it back out, pisses me off. And of course where there is a breeze there is road noise as well.

Is there something I can put on the seal to shut the door and see where the gaps are? Some kind of marking material? Chalk??
