Good to know #8 isn’t as bad as I was thinking. Wasn’t looking forward to changing that one, but you have inspired me to change it myself.

Only advice I have is hope your arms aren't huge, and get a pair a of long reach needle nose pliers to help remove the wires.

Hose specific pliers like below would be even better but a pair of straight jaws worked fine for me (and are much useful for other jobs).

I’m a twig...so no problem there. I’ve got some long needle noses that should work. Those pliers you mentioned look good. I’ll first give mine a try. Thanks for the info!

Put in new plugs and wires today. The #8 cylinder was not as bad as Youtube implied. It was a tight fit but took only marginally longer than the others. I think the whole job took ~90 min. The truck seems to pull stronger now, but objectively, picked up almost an extra 1 mpg average over a 20 mi drive. Not sure if the plugs/wires are factory or were replaced at some point (they came out without issue and wires seemed in decent shape).

I have a real hard time, I got big hands and arms. Left rear 2 are a mother for me. I broke my damn dipstick tube the last time. And I have spark plug wire tool and the long pipe needle nose you posted and they both aren't worth a ****. Half my wires the snap end of the wire rips off and stays on the plug. Pisses me the **** off. I uses dielectric grease on the boots this time around but the snap clips won't release they will just rip off anyway.

Pull the front wheels and liners, then go from underneath. That’s what I started doing after I installed my longtubes. It takes a little more time but makes it so much easier.

Even for the left rear plug? It seems blocked by the AC thingy from that direction and it points towards the firewall.

That sport one from handkraftd. Black with grey stitching to match z71 interior.

I got the Grant one from Summit back in June. Sent the core back a week later. Got confirmation of core return another week later. Didn't get my $40 damned refund check until last week.
