usually (not always) when the battery gets weak you start seeing the voltmeter move around more, with a fresh healthy battery it should stick closer to 14. just my experience with both the nbs and nnbs. I think @kbuskill or somebody just put a new battery? you see any difference in the meter movement

I've never seen a voltmeter on these go that high quite honestly.

Mine reads 14 or slightly more or a few volts less, never that high.

I have owned it almost a year now and never seen it that high either. I measured 14.5 and some change the other day with my meter when doing some other troubleshooting. I know the terminals are clean and tight. I may try throwing the charger at it but I am not in the mood to take chances with an unknown battery either and may just toss a new one in it. I was just wondering if maybe the alternator has decided to overcharge for some reason.

when I put my new battery's in a few months ago I noticed a difference right away, even now the meter is almost always sitting on 14v it moves sometimes but not a lot and not very often.

Seemed to behave better on the way home. Maybe I can do some tests with my Tech2. Gonna look for a date code and maybe have it load tested. If it fails or is questionable I will replace it.

If I spend too much more on this 5.3, i would rather just try and source a 6.0 or 6.2.
