Is there anything that wants to work at -35?

Not unless it was designed to work in -35.

Metal gets brittle, especially aluminum.

Soft rubber can get rock hard.., I saw a plastic door panel shatter like glass after the door got slammed shut ... now think about o rings, engine seals and hoses.

Your best synthetic oils flow like molasses, and axle Grease can get so solid it locks up the wheel.

So another thing on the NNBS with a high failure rate? How much for that plastic part? Edit: $25 plus shipping...what a racket for 5 cents worth of plastic.

That's kinda been a failure point on pretty much all GM transmissions since they got away from the 700R4. So, you're at twice the risk with your two trucks.

I don’t need no stinking shifter..kidding...but the one on my 02 is a new cable and the 08 has like 60k on the truck. GTK though.

Ya that's one of the first things I did was yank that archaic crap out and put in wireless android pioneer and maestro rr
retains everything except sirius but that is just a $20-30 module.

I have always been a dongle sorta guy with newer cars.
now that my hoe came with one of these nice touch screen units, I'm ruined for life.

The wife too. :D

the picture doesn't show it well but mine looks brittle and it's crumbling apart so it might be due to age or environment and less to do with mileage

I bought a lifetime subscription to Sirius in 1990 and have always had that and I have been using Android Auto since that first came around I have been spoiled for a while, sirius has always worked well as long as you where not surround by tree's, android auto used to be pretty glitchy but works well now

I don't think that will give you bluetooth music streaming. Also may need a driver loaded to the operating system, which the factory radio can't do.

I see. Good point. I’m not a techie kind of guy so would have never thought of that. Might still get one and try. I’ve spent more money on worse ideas.
