It does take more fuel flow to make up for the lack of BTUs, but it is 105 octane and if the vehicle is tuned for it, it will make more power.I was underwhelmed with the lack of power. Alcohol has nowhere near the BTU per unit volume that gasoline does. At the time it was a 40 cents price difference, but I quoted Nancy Reagan and just said no.
Many people will try it once, not notice any difference except the 2-3mpg loss, and not get it again. It takes about an entire tank for the vehicle to actually fully get used to it and run correctly on it.
