What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Might be rust jacking under the speed sensor mount. Probably break the sensor getting it out if it's OE and in a rusty area, but if you get it out in one piece you can clean off the rust and reinstall.

For the last few days I get the ABS and traction faults every now and then on startup. Goes away at the next start or later in the day. I’ve scanned it twice and it’s the LR wheel speed sensor circuit C0045_00. Cleaning the connector at the wiring harness had no effect.

Any realistic chance it’s anything other than the sensor? I’ve got an OEM sensor in my shopping cart ready to pull the trigger.

Have you unplugged it at the axle tube? Maybe got a rock or debris in there stretching or breaking the wire?

Yeah, cheaper than a tank of west coast gas for sure!

@swathdiver @Fless those are good suggestions, I’ll inspect the axle today. Not much rust on this truck, it’s always been in a dry climate. But dirt and rocks aplenty!
How many miles? Thats typically been a sign of a worn hub for me in the past. Seems they last around 100k miles, give or take.

I used to write in complete sentences with proper grammar, you know, how we were taught in school decades ago and would get no reply. So for the last ten years or so, I write in ebonics or whatever they call it today and get a response.
You should instead write in cursive (and I don’t mean the Ebonics swearing kind). My nephew was puzzled and thought I was writing in Russian Cyrillic when looked through some blueprints I was drawing up. Poor kids. Now it’s all 1’s and 0’s.

67k now. But a worn hub on the rear? I believe you’re thinking of the front? In the rear the tone ring is on the axle shaft and the sensor mounts in the axle tube.

Front hubs are brand new Timken. And the code always says LR wheel.
