Aren't the factory fog light lenses made for halogen bulbs that put light out 360* around the bulb and not LEDs that only put out light in 1 or 2 directions?

I thought that's why LED bulbs don't work well in stock headlight housings or projector housings

It depends on the bulbs. I’m really happy and impressed with the ones I have in my own housings. High low and fogs.

I have used LED’s in both low and high beam locations on headlights with great results. (Note: not in projectors) This video explains it pretty good. If you look at the reflector design of a headlight it makes sense. I think most of the time that they don’t work good is when they’re not adjusted right.

There are LED projectors but afaik those bulbs and projectors are designed to work together. I haven’t messed with those, just HID projectors.

I would update my headlights to projectors or some 2stroke 3.0 before I dropped that coin in fog lights.

Gonna try the Sealight amber LED bulbs I think.
I just bought some diode dynamics SS3 max for the silverado 3500 lumens, $560 ouch, but there haven't been many options for that truck
