Hauled family to and from restaurant for our birthdays. Watched all the lunatics speed past and either crash into each other, into the water or get pulled over by the cops. Busy night for police and fire on the highway, never seen so many fire engines on the highway (I-95) at one time on such a short stretch of road. Crazy.

Even crazier, my sister is considering a Chevy to replace her Kia! Someone call the Guiness Book of World Records!
Happy birthday James! Hope you had a great day.

Checked for a leak in the air-lifts. Thought perhaps I'd stretched them a little too much while jacking things up to attach the bars on the WDH during the western trek but after finding one of the nipples at the top of the bags loose - and replacing it as best as possible, it's still leaking slowly. Not going to pull them out; the leak isn't that large that they can't be used by topping them up each day I'm towing but I may want an additional solution.

Anyone have experience with Timbren or Sumo Spring bumps for towing?
I don’t, but in my opinion you can’t beat the factory air suspension for towing on these rigs. I tow a 7000 pound camper with our XL Denali, and it works fabulously. You can buy replacement factory shocks for $250 each from rock auto, and a new dorman air compressor for less than 200. Comes with all new plumbing.

They have that grape scented diff fluid.

When i went to change the rear diff and transfer case fluid in my wifes awd, that smell confused the crap out of me.
IIRC the color was a little off too.
I was more worried about the AWD xfer case, since i read it was 75/90... :jester:

Like the Tahoe, I read it was autotrack 2 fluid, so i ran with that.
xfer case was not happy at all with autotrack 2 fluid.
Did not like going in and out of engagement and would throw codes.
I had to reset the codes before it would try again.

If tags are high like that, does that mean less taxes when you purchase the vehicle?
haaaa I wish, sales tax here is essentially 10%, varies from city to city here where I live it is technically 9.6%
so if you buy anything including vehicles just add 10% to the listed price, why they can't just list that in the total price of anything is bewildering.
the only thing not taxed here is unprepared food & labor. the price you see is the price you pay
soda can's have .10 redemption added to each can
there is a fast food tax, take out and dine in tax are different

Iowa has 5% tax on vehicles and a prorated tag fee based on MSRP, Hundred Weight and age of vehicle.
