Anybody stumble across good black chrome lug nuts? I went the aftermarket spline lugs when I switched to the Black Silverado wheels - of course they were painted black so the look like crap now! I prefer no chrome at all and want to stick to the storm trooper theme of white/black only.
just grab a set of key locked lug nuts in black chrome, like these

Are splined nuts better than hex, besides the security benefit? Do they show less wear from install/removal?

I'm not sure I'd like having to keep track of the key, just seems like another potential problem.

I threw the spline key in the center console or glove box - I got 2 with my POS lug nuts. I feel like most of the aftermarket lugs are painted and I will end up with the same issues I have today.

My new wheels should be coming early next week, then I will install the TPMS sensors and go and get new rubber put on them in the next couple weeks. I might wait and see what, if any, black Friday deals can be had for tires.

I need to but new lug nuts. What y'all think would look best with these black wheels with machined face? I was thinking black, because the area the nut is in is black so then it'd blend in and not be noticeable, but then I though chrome because I have a bit of chrome on the vehicle, just not on the wheels. Then what style, acorn, splined, hex, flat top (wife's Acadia 20" wheels came with chromed flat top lug nuts).

I vote black but I hate chrome anyway.

Wheels came early! Think I'm gonna go with black lug nuts, altho the center cap on these wheels look chrome.

New tpms sensors should be here Tuesday. Do you guys use any sealant around the base of the stems when installing?

I use a thin film of assembly lube or syl glyde when I install my valves. Helps them pop into place easier. Even dish soap will work.

^^^ This. Nothing like rim sealer, just a good lubricant that's compatible with the stem material. A little syl-glide or dish soap would be my choice.

I use Dawn to install valve stems or any other rubber parts, just need to help them pop into place.
