Lol during covid I bought the tahoe.
Long wait out to even get an appointment so I could register the damn thing.

Me thinking I'll get a temp tag online?!
Online: make an appointment with the local dmv. :banghead:

So I'm like fk it, drove around with my damn title in the glove box with my bill of sale.

I see a cop pull behind me, looked really hard at the area that's supposed to have my licence plate.
He looks focused, so I'm like "here we go!"

Then he gets a disappointed look on his face, shrugs his shoulders, hands doing the fk it whatever thing.

Speeds up and passes me. :Bye:

:jester:
Same, dudes behind me, pulls up next to me and I wave my paperwork at him and gives me a thumbs up and drives right on by…

And I finally replaced the driver side door lock/latch mechanism.
I have had that new old stock latch forever!!

lazy me decided low priority since I can just confirm and manually lock the door if it refuses to go down (at random times).

It has been getting really annoying lately.
Never knowing if the door latch actually locked or not. :jester:

Last one I did was on the passenger side; I used an aftermarket unit.
Decided to go OEM for the driver side door (and any future doors).

Huge difference in how easy everything assembles!

I also replaced the heated seat switch while I had the door panel off.

Now that door locks with some power!
I hear a solid "Slap" sound when locking now. :p

Headed seat switch also works nicely, a light touch is needed now.
much better!

Just got back from going up to my wife's work and clearing the snow/ice off her car. She left home this morning without her ice scraper/brush.

First time with the Michelin Defenders in snow. Did fine but took a bit to get the feel of them.

This will be the first time she's driven the Acadia in the snow. It's AWD and has Yokohama Geolander tires on it and should be fine, but she's used to either driving the Yukon or the Mustang in fowl weather. Well, actually she would drive the mustang to work, then it'd snow, and I'd have to go pick her up in the Yukon while leaving the Mustang there and getting it a couple days later when the roads are better, lol.

It's currently 2* here and windy and we got a couple inches of snow this afternoon.

I have to push the bottom heat button several times every once in awhile to get it to turn on.Assuming my switch is on its way out?

Sounds like it.
Mine finally started working after I gave it a hard push.

but I had already ordered a replacement.

Last year a battery disconnect fixed it for me... :hahano:
