Common problem on these stepper motor took thge tubes.

When I return to Florida, I can instantly feel my blood pressure rise the closer I get to Orlando. That place invites DIP $h!T drivers from all over - its like a convention of tarded drivers!

grew up in Florida. Orlando was always horrible, but honestly all big cities suck to drive in around rush hours times.

it has gotten much worse as it's overcrowding even worse these days and the age of the drivers would be considered high end. especially lately lol. but it still has the best overall quality of roads for the places I've lived. you can actually own drive and enjoy a sporty car in Florida. I've lived in Nola and 2 TX cities and both act like broke ass states that can't spend any money on repaving a road, and when they do its by the lowest bidder, the base dirt is shit and its a mess 6 months later. up north they can at least blame the cold and snow.

it's a shame and the friends I still have down there all want to get out and get to NC or something, but I miss FL. was a nice overall place to grow up back in the day.

Sheeeiiiit. Every time I come back from Florida, I miss rollin with 'em! on I-75, unless there's traffic, everyone's cruising harmoniously at 85+. There is a distinct reduction in driving stresses the further east I go. Mississippi is a considerable improvement, Alabama is better than that and Florida is better than Alabama. I'm mainly speaking of the interstates, but the county highways and surface streets are still way better than in Louisiana.

I use to make the drive from New Orleans to Tampa about once a month in a 4th Gen z28 about 8 years ago,(where ever I'd miss the flight lol) and the relief when you make that right off i10 to i75 is amazing haha. I knew I was home free.


Miami traffic is going to suck. again, all big cites are bad at rush hour. I read a article probably almost 30 years ago in a car and driver mag that said you can't road build your way out of rush hour traffic in big cities. all these years later they were right. 8 lanes either way and people will still turn it into a parking lot at 5pm on Friday. you just get more and more people from surface streets on the interstate and it allows people to move farther and farther away from jobs. but the up side is off peak. traffic is much better, and surface streets are over all safer from less traffic.

I just saw a special on that phenomenon. It started happening more when new cars came out with instrument clusters that are more like monitors than anything, and they’re lit up all the time whether or not the lights are on. It used to be that if your lights weren’t turned on, your dash would be dark, a dead giveaway. Add the fact there’s led DRL lights that partially illuminate the road in front combined with the new LED street lighting that’s brighter and you have a recipe for disaster. It’s the newest thing we need to drill into the young ones starting to drive- not just to turn on their lights but to watch carefully for the ghost cars at night.

that's a good sounding theory but any car with a full monitor style dash has automatic headlights. shit my last few cars going back to the late 90s you can't even start them without lights of some sort being on unless you pull the ebrake. driving around with a completely dark car at night is pretty hard these days unless it's much older than the adv car on the road.

that's a good sounding theory but any car with a full monitor style dash has automatic headlights. shit my last few cars going back to the late 90s you can't even start them without lights of some sort being on unless you pull the ebrake. driving around with a completely dark car at night is pretty hard these days unless it's much older than the adv car on the road.

Not necessarily true. My 2012 DD has an always-lighted dash but the headlight switch can be in manual or AUTO. My choice. Not all are forced AUTO like my Tahoe.

I grew up there as well - just outside of Tampa...I found the roads in and around Orlando to be really nice compared to many of the of the "big" cities. I can only equate that to the tourist and the perception to be given out. I miss my friends there but do not miss much else happening there.

Not all cars have auto headlights. We are spoiled in our GM’s and such. They mentioned that in their article- it’s the cars that don’t have auto headlights that are the problem, or the ones that don’t reset to auto on a restart like some do including GM. Canada just passed a law that states new vehicles must automatically default to auto headlights when the vehicle is started or travels over 5-10 mph because there are a lot of vehicles that don’t. From what I heard, the cheaper vehicles don’t have this. US needs to pass a law but it won’t help with all the cars that are on the road. Education is the key.

Both of my mustangs (95 & 02) have manual headlights and the dash doesn't light up unless I pull the knob to turn on at least the parking lights
