installed what is hopefully the 220amp alternator. (13536552) The wire plug and alternator cable are in slightly different spots. Alt cable was on back, now on top. Slightly larger stud, old eyelet fits perfectly though. The new wire plug has 6 slots when the old one had 4, but they line up and it snaps in like it should.

left new (20k miles), right old (200k?)

had to notch bottom of cable boot to get it up over the stud. Will hopefully get the right boot when i upgrade the cable..
engine cover sits down, just had it up for photo. only hiccup was easing one mounting bushing forward so I could slide alternator in, found the parts to make a puller..

Thanks Doubelieve for the 220amp tip! And.. thanks to the BEST forum!

I did mine this evening. It wasn't so plug-and-play as I thought. If it was, it would've been a 20-minute job. Took every bit of two hours. I got the 13534128. I don't know the differences in yours and mine, but they're both listed as 220A alts. About to do a write-up in my build thread. 20 pics, so it'll have to be split up into four posts.

Weird, according to this page.. https://www.autopartsprime.com/gm/generator-assembly/oe-13534128

also this one.. https://www.gmpartsoutlet.com/p/che...3--62-LITER-Alternator/78774533/13534128.html

It shows your part number replaced by my part number. You'd think they're interchangeable.

Write-up finished. Check it out and lemme know if you noticed any of this with yours: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/growing-up-doesnt-have-to-suck.93510/post-1781199

Hey Iamdumb, I'm dumber, I did not look as closely as you!

Did Not Notice the smaller pulley, thanks for taking measurements! Glad they are very close in size. I thought the belt was a hair easier to slip on compared to the last time I put the belt on. (maybe because i had to file down some grind marks on the pulley face/lip) The AutoSync device has a manual high idle, so I'll leave it stock.

Did Not Notice the larger holes. If they were to loosen, I am guessing belt tension would pull it down, and the alternator would tend to sit down by it's own weight anyhow. I loosened the bolts, and put a prybar between case and bracket. about 2mm of movement fwiw. I don't think it will loosen.

Did Not Notice the alt cable was a tower bolted to the rear, but it sits fine on the tower so I think I will leave that as well.

dark spot on bracket is liquid wrench because the sleeve wasnt moving when i tried to just shove the alternator into place..

Good Job on the install Iamdumb!

I think our alternators are the same.

I still consider these alternators to be "drop in". Only thing really needed is the larger cable nut.
