the air temp sensor is inside the maf.

there's probably a test on ohms vs temp to see if it's correct. could test at the sensor and if good test at the ecm plug. if not good there might have a wiring issue

I've seen this before. Do you have some photos or a parts list of what you used.

I like the idea of being able to easily/quickly swap out an external filter to gauge the quality of the ATF fluid.

Did you just splice one of these kits into the flexible hose for the external ATF cooler? I assume the AT pump would be strong enough to pump the fluid up to higher location in the engine bay, like the empty 2nd battery tray area?

or

Yeah, basically.

I mounted it along the frame rail in front of the motor on passenger side. It fits behind that splash shield. Basically cut the rubber part of the hose (can't remember if it was the send or return off the top of my head) and plumbed it into a remote filter housing with hose barb adapters.

I use a Wix 51269 filter which is made for hydraulic pumps and has no anti-drainback valve. The fluid in the factory lines and cooler drains back to the trans when it's shut off.

The hose worm clamps cause a bit of seepage in the winter time, so I plan on changing them to spring type hose clamps. I also picked up two 3/8" compression to hose barb fittings and plan on cutting the metal tubing just before where it transitions to rubber hose and run a bit longer length of rubber trans fluid lines to the filter. There's currently not much play it the hose connections.

Awesome thanks for the pictures. Which remote mounting kit did you use, the PermaCool?

I’ve been there @Doubeleive. I drive a 55 mph state route to work every morning and the amount of people who drive 45 mph amazes me… Do they not pay attention to the signs on the road? Then honk at me while I’m passing like I’m the a$$hole… SMH. I just wave and blow them a kiss.

I have a police horn and the controller, some day I want to hook it up and just use the police horn/buzz function (not the siren), not trying to perpetrate lol
the speaker is heavy as hell. I figured I can stick the controller behind the center console and solder a wire to the horn function and put a button in the cubby on the dash that is vacant where the 4wd switch would normally go
I wouldn't have had time to use it today anyway I was lucky we didn't rub shoulders
