35% keeps enough sun out to where my arm doesn't get hot while driving while resting it up top of the door panel. OR if you don't want to be seen you can do what I saw today driving home. A lady had her fold up sun shade (for the windshield) spread across her door window LOL.

Me too. 1500 miles this weekDid that all damn day it seems
Its always been a law in New York but in jan 2017 they passed a new one..they started making inspection stations use the meters, cant measure=fail, cant put up widow=safety inspection fail(never seen this though). Cops have meter and can yank you for it but never really did....5% all around, except front. When it's time for inspection, I let down the fronts and pull the harness to the power window switch. Takes 2 mins, never had an issue.

Ah, gotcha. Haven't been back home in a while, didn't even know it changed. It's supposedly the law here as well, but you just search for the "right" station and you're golden. Oh, and the right ones far outnumber the sticklers by a HUGE margin. Its always been a law in New York but in jan 2017 they passed a new one..they started making inspection stations use the meters, cant measure=fail, cant put up widow=safety inspection fail(never seen this though).
