I guess it was wishful thinking that you had pulled the wool over this thread and done some quick transformation...lol. Especially with all the up and down. :D

Ha, I wish! I've been working so much that I haven't had much time to do anything to her. Had a few hiccups lately with the 'Burb and now she sits dead in the driveway since my Battery decided today was the day it wanted to crap out on me. Luckily it has a 6 year replacement plan so I'll just swap it out when my Dad returns my Megacab, lol.

I have the CCM kit still and waiting on Costco to have a good deal on BFG's again since I need tires soon. She's definitely staying up this time (I know, I know said it before.)

LOL

Tahoe is back and the AC is good as new.

At least once in my life some vehicle repair was much less than anticipated.

There was nothing wrong with the compressor after all. The mounting bolts just had somehow worked themselves loose. Wonder how that happened...?

Then there was also a hole in the high side line going from compressor to the evaporator. There's a factory wiring harness clip on the lone which had puntured the line.

After that was all done the compressor still wouldn't kick on properly, so they traced it to the AC relay. Changed that and we're good to go.

Cost me 850 bucks. Mostly labor, of course. Still a lot, but a lot less than the initial estimate of $2200+ if the compressor was bad.

And that's why I use this particular shop when ever I need/have to. They don't do ******** stuff and are honest about everything. Some other shop would've probably just thrown in the compressor and all the other stuff.
