Gotcha figured you were talking about that castle looking washer. I bent them in very little to give me some room to tighten it. Also with the amount of black silicone sealant i added, the antenna wasnt budging one bit when in was letting the sealant cure for one hour before tightening it down.

I don't know if it will break, probably not. But can it get tight enough with a worn gasket without denting the roof?

If you look at the photo that Wade posted, the red part crushes, spreads out, as the bolt is tightened to spec.

What are you guys doing to deal with ripping leather on a steering wheel? Mine is ripping open at the top. A whole new wheel or are there cover kits? What is your experiences and suggestions?

They do sell new steering wheel skins. Some places you get the wheel done already, and you have to give your old one as a core, then there's places that sell just the skin, with everything you'll need to stitch it on yourself. If you go that route, you'll need to fix that tear in your old leather. If not, it might eventually show through the new skin. I did this for a customer on his M3. He supplied the skin, got it from ebay. He was extremely happy with the end result.

I replaced mine with a Grant OEM style leather wrapped wheel...... I think I got it on ebay from Summit Racing, it was under $200 shipped
