He said it was new though, that’s why I was wondering. New jugs are pretty hard to pop the lids on even when you’re trying.

The oil was new, but it was in a bottle that I had recently emptied. I have a 5-gallon bucket of Delo but only needed a few quarts so I poured a gallon into that jug. I tested the lid and chose that jug because I could torque the lid down and it stayed. Hard lesson learned.

I had a gallon jug of it I brought with me to check out a Suburban with low oil pressure. The lid was tight and it was standing up, but I guess it fell over and landed in such a way that it deformed the neck and let the lid pop loose. It was like it was backed off one turn and half of it drained out. On the way home, I grabbed a plastic milk crate from a stack behind a convenience store that I'll use to hold such items in the future.
Yeah I guess lesson learned. Unfortunately it’s always the hard way isn’t it.

Usually! I got off lucky this time. The liners pretty much channeled it all to the outer edges. Just had to clean the first few inches of carpet and jute padding and everything under the sills.

Oil change today...back to supertech 5w30 and a KN filter. Hoping to get it to the exhaust shop this week to get these exhaust manifold gaskets and bolts replaced.

I love the combination of the stuff I've learned from communities over the years. With my fumoto oil drain valve, and the hints I've learned here by taking a punch to the oil filter, oil changes are like a 20 minute venture with literally zero mess.

Are those ET Street tires?

Yep, 315/50/17s all around. Best part about it is the IHC arms bring the hub surface in towards the center of the vehicle a bit, so they're sitting nice and flush and don't rub at all

Hey thanks for sharing. Truck is looking good, you need to post daily pics of it :)

Ooph, I had to lift mine up about an inch or my front valance was coming. It got pretty jacked up from the ridiculous roads. It still scrapes though. Need to bring the back down about an inch to level it out.
Oh have I mentioned you should post daily pics of your truck.

Haha idk about daily pics, at least not flooding them in here. I'll add some to my thread.

I'll leave you guys with these ones though just for a comparison of how much I sat her down. Peep the last one. Yes they're the same tires, yes all four of them are mounted up, yes it's sitting unassisted on stock suspension.
