Thanks. I saw that and almost pulled it, but didn’t. I went out and did. Looks to be the ticket.

I actually did look in the OTC book that covers up to 2013 MY vehicles and the 2012 Suburban & Tahoes aren’t listed. I then checked the service manual and it just states to disable the relay. Couldn’t find the procedure on how to do so. I’m sure that was operator error.

Raybestos Element3. They work pretty well and provide good stopping. They just want to squeal occasionally.
looks like those are a combination of ceramic and semi metallic that is why they squeak, the metallic part causes it. If you go all ceramic they will be dead silent

Yup. I have had many sets of semi metallic pads over the years and like the way they stop. This things brakes are fantastic with these pads so I will work through it. Picked up some disc brake quiet spray and gave them a coat. The one that was squeaky got scuffed with 180 grit flat on the bench. Good for now.

Semi creates a ton of dust but stops the best. Ceramic is quiet and dust free for the most part but don’t stop nearly as good.

I’ve been really happy with the Powerstop carbon ceramic pads.
I would never use them again even if I got them for free. Used the z26 and z36 before on many different applications. The nbs and other cars. Power stop won’t be getting anymore of my money. EBC is a much better brand.

I bought the pads and coated rotors from Raybestos because I was after the corrosion resistance of the coating. Prior to this it was some form of Wagner premium stuff. Whatever their flavor was at the time. That said nothing helped on my NBS. That thing had the worst brakes!

No way. I replaced my calipers and put oem pads and rotors the gray one. It stopped amazing. That ***** cross drilled and slotted crap from power stop was a waste of money. Even with that zinc coating they still rusted.
