What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Fires almost out? I haven't heard much about them in awhile.

Funny thing about that. What actually was happening was in the hills, the fire would spread from blowing embers from ridgetop to ridgetop. It would then burn the trees down to the roots, and the roots would start burning underground, and it would then burn UP the roots and up the trees and then blow embers somewhere else. Thats why it was so hard to get contained, so what they would do was take a dozer and rip a trench around one of the areas it pops up in, and flood the trench with water, and let the water soak into the ground and (hopefully) extinguish the roots.

They are going to have to continue using infrared thru winter and into the spring to monitor the roots that are still burning to make sure they dont relight in the spring, because the on and off showers we get all winter keep it suppressed. When they go away, the fires may relight.

Oddly enough, my coworker's place got evac'd from the fires, they got a line established, they go to go back, the first heavy rain came, and then they had to be evac'd again because of landslide risk, because of all the trees that burned down that were holding the hillside together. Crazy stuff.

I've heard about the dangers of mudslides because of the burning.

Was driving the family to enjoy the day to only turn around and go back home because the engine started running rough. Didn’t hear anything noticeable till I got to the driveway. Got a lifter tapping. Pretty sure one of the afm lifters failed me. No engine codes but it don’t want to start well or run much at all. I have the range disabler and changed oil religiously. Still failed me. The noise is coming from the driver side of the engine.

Any advice or links to the posts you guys could give me for info in the repairing of this would be great. I can’t think straight right now for me to try and sit and search a lot right now. Life’s been a bit of a ***** lately. My dryer has been acting up and other shit. Having to be an adult sucks.

Sounds a lot like mine. I've got the 30" version (30" body/36" overall length) of that muffler with no cats but I kept the factory resonator.

Dryers are easy to fix. So is the truck. Pulls the plugs and have a look at them first, check your oil and coolant to look for contaminants. Any work done of the motor over the years to your knowledge?

Hey man, had same situation with me. Lost an afm lifter.

My recommendation is the Texas Speed AFM Delete kit, and a stock GM DoD Delete cam that way you dont need a tune. Cam comes out, cam goes in

I believe it was your video posted in here maybe a yearish ago, that made me decide to try this muffler out. I wished i went with the larger one at times. But with this resonator there is very minimal interior noise, i mean you can tell it isn't stock inside but the drone sound is minimal. You can hear the exhaust note from outside behind you when cruising. Under load during downshift it's still noticeable. A lot more than the Aerochamber and bullet combo with the first hemholtz.

And manifolds? Not headers? Got an audio clip or something?

Dryer I know what this issue is. Idler pulley.

Motor from what I can tell from service records I looked up is untouched. Just normal service. I can hear it knocking now. I started it up in the driveway after it cooled off. Its definitely from the driver side.
