Thank you both. My 2015 stayed on as well. I wasn't sure if the GMT900 operated differently. I may pull the airbag and check the wiring. Perhaps the switch is bad.

Since there's no inventory of GMT900 heated wheels, it will certainly make me look harder at retrofitting the 2015-2017 heated wheel. Need to make sure the 15-17 airbag won't have any issues communicated with a GMT900 airbag module.
the problem may be because the gmt900 heated button is a click on/click off, and the k2xx button is a momentary button only. If this is the case you might have to wire up a separate switch

To make sure I understand... how is the K2XX button momentary?

Are you saying the nnbs button “latches down” like the cruise button?

I have a heated K2XX wheel laying around. I can put together a pigtail and connect just the heated plug for testing. Will report back.

...after installing the motor and trans mounts that is

It may not be true for every GMT900. But mine is momentary. As I said above, the heated wheel cuts off when the ignition is off. This is not like the cruise button, which IS click-on/click-off, and remains on even after cycling the ignition off/on.

New seat cover and cushion came in from ebay. I think it's better than factory.

In all seriousness it came back from the upholstery guy in nice shape. It's not factory, I get it but it looks way better and I bet wtih that new cushion it will be far more comfortable. Gotta vac up some of fries and bs under the seat before I reinstall.
