Any 2wd or 2wd/4wd selectable transfer case SUVs with the 6.2l came with the 14 bolt.

Escalades and Denalis with AWD, even though having the 6.2l, came with the 10 bolt 8.6".

The AWD vehicles have like 40% of the power going to the front differential at all times, so no need for the heavier duty 14 bolt in the rear.

That reminds me, there was a member with the username @iLikeEggs but haven’t heard from him in awhile

What a coincidence.

Along my drive yesterday for work, I was thinking of some TYF and S10forum-related stuff and that screenname entered my thoughts with a vague vision of an avatar with a white truck.

I hope something bad didn't happen to him. A month or two ago, I found myself thinking of an old friend/ex-coworker from years ago. Darren and I were great work buddies. He was a hot rodder/rockabilly type and a "professional student". He was very educated in damned-near everything and we had technical, intellectual and intelligent convos laden with sarcastic and, sometimes, dark humor. Was always a great time on the job. We never had a chance to hang out outside of work. Anyway, the next day after that seemingly random reminiscing, my work route had me passing a street where him and I did a big job together and it sparked more memories. I told myself I needed to try to reconnect with him. I don't use FB for connections and I don't think he'd even have one. For reasons, I have a SnapChat from waaay back. About a week after those thoughts, I found myself reviving my SC and synching my phone's contacts. A mutual friend of Darren and I (also someone I had been wanting to catch up with) messaged me and we talked. He informed me that, about a week prior, Darren ate a bullet.

If someone is worth your thoughts, don't hesitate to check in on 'em. There's a reason they entered your mind and you might not get another chance, if even just because you "remained too busy". With the communication technology we have now, there's almost no reason to not be able to find and connect/re-connect.
