I am aware of how knowledgeable you all are with this truck platform, so here are a few questions for the 'hive':

Topic auxiliary - supplemental xmission coolers ( related to towing to keep my transmission temp empin the safe zone for a 2800 mi tow )

a) any brand or specific xmission cooler to focus on or avoid?
b) will this change increase my xmission fluid capacity any or stay the same?
c) I see models for everywhere from $125 to triple that amount
d) approx labor cost at a garage / man hours time to install one of these on my 2007 GMC Yukon 5.3 V8 ??

please chime in with any other thoughts - ideas or concerns

thank you

there's a huge 20+ page thread about coolers. I think by the end they came up with the best combination. was an interesting read. I just struggle to find a in a search.

@iamdub checkpoint foxtrot, Elko, NV no tickets, but the V1 did save me from a park ranger that was around a corner in Yellowstone had to do a hard drop to 45, 8 hr drive from Gardener, the drive down 93 was cool another highway you could haul ass on.
If anyone is ever in Elko I recommend the star restaurant. Big full course meal if it was just me it would have been $41 and included a big juicy ribeye, soup, salad, bread, spaghetti, green beans, red beans, garbanzo beans, french fries and tea or coffee

With all those different beans you ate, I feel sorry for your family

Two times now I have fueled with Mobil fuel and noticed my Burb doesn’t run as well. It develops a hesitation getting back on the throttle after coasting. It goes away with a change in fuel. So I put in 18 gallons of E85. To burn on for a few days. Wonder why it does that.
We have Exxon and Mobil down here, I get the same on my 15, idle is more noticeable and weird drop in rpm some times. A tank of chevron and its better. The work around for me was some Techron fuel system cleaner, makes it alot better. I would throw a good fuel system cleaner and some chevron if you have it and give it an Italian tune up.

The reason I think is somewhat mechanical with how the cylinder head design is and the other is the fuel mapping. You could probably push through the fuel mapping with about 5 tanks of gas from there and solve some of the issues, but its a gamble for sure.

Probably a 1-2 mpg loss also noted with the switch?
