Dropped it off for inspection and emissions testing.

Texas just eliminated this in 248/254 counties beginning in January. Thecopcar registration comes up in December, so I just did the very last one a few days ago.

The vinyl i ordered is not as good of a match as I'd hoped. I'll have to order some paint for the hitch cover and fender repairs later on. Still pumped for what I paid for this lol, starting to look nice. Would like to order an escalade 3rd brake light for it

The shop I deal with ordered the reman engine today and will be installing it over Thanksgiving weekend. Can't wat to get this over with. Sick of driving with my a-z-z puckered waiting for a lifter do drop and dumping 2 qts a week of oil into it. The money, the mess it leaves and the stink. Clean slate. This truck is going to be a lifer as long as nobody wrecks me. Transmission fund will be next on the list and already saving towards that as well.

sounds like compared to what they go thru ours was very laxed anyways. Just the annoyances of driving to the shop every year.

and they left the cost in, so we are still paying for an inspection but not getting it lol.

all I can do is shake my head. on top of it, because they got rid of inspection, emissions testing kicks in the next year. so it's a net loss for me. now I still gotta go by the shop but before it would pass even with a check engine light on. now I gotta make sure all the emissions nonsense is passed for a small fleet of trucks that are tagged still.
