I'll give it a go anyway.

Seems like if i keep it perpendicular, the temp reading is stable (the mirror was ~5 degrees cooler than ambient in DIC)

If I angle it, the reading can fluctuate quickly. i was seeing about a 40 degrees swing.. thats in the shade too

Today I replaced my multifunction switch. What a pain.

1000007602.jpgI couldn't find a how-to that matched mine (most said the parts just snapped apart). So I had to get creative. The hidden male torx screw holding the top column cover was tricky to find. And performing arthroscopic electrical connector surgery to connect one of the 4 switch plugs (the one on the wire) was a challenge for my fat hands. But the icing on the cake was the screw GM located, seemingly for the sole purpose of forcing everyone to remove their steering wheel to change the switch. Thankfully, I have a mini ratchet that could just fit in there to coax the screw out.

I don't use this little guy often. But when I do it saves the day. GM gets an F. But I won the day.
