Worm clamps suck!!!

Yes they do, but it was all I could get in there without removing the entire radiator.

Even with the tool, i hate spring clamps. Generally i replace spring clamps with worm clamps, if i have to touch it, it's getting changed.

you can just buy some diodes as well for cheap.

Yes they do, but it was all I could get in there without removing the entire radiator.

the trick is don't tighten then with a screw driver. snug them with a 5/16th on a ratchet and never had a issue.


I have had to follow behind a lot that guys left loose thou.

I tend to just reuse whatever is there if in good shape. I do remember that lower passengers side being a hassle, but remember exactly what I used, but I got it back on.

Thats what I remember too, the clamps on radiator were the hardest part of installing a new radiator! Removed and installed with hoses attached. Clamps had to be rotated just right to maybe reach in there with regular pliers which require a good amount of force, which would slip off the spring clamp easily.

It was about 110* when I was doing the work and after about 45 minutes of fighting that spring clamp I gave up and used a worm clamp.
I wasn't about to yank the radiator in that heat.
