I was thinking about doing both of my front wheel bearings and maybe axles since I'm at 200k, no issues, but I'd rather not have any either...
if the time and money is good then, why not is my thought.. but otherwise just check them more routinely while doing rotations. on my 03 silverado one went from bad to worse to "it might fall off" in nothing flat lol, went from a little hum to sounding like a metal on metal brake pad in less than 60 miles.
I tend to be a maintenance junkie from previous failures and I wear things out just from my driving habits

Same exact thing happened to my 03 ds bearing. I was lucky my wheel didn't fall off.

I am about to rotate my tires..... What's the best way to 'check' my bearings,.... just a spin and a wiggle, when of the tires are off the floor?
With 176,000 miles, I sense no issues...

yes spin and listen for tink noise or grinding, push back-n-forth at 12 & 6 there should no play at all, at 3 & 9 there is some normal play because of the steering.
normally it should be about dead quiet while spinning, you'll hear the axle moving if 4x4 but there should be no other noise unless your brakes are worn down

if it sounds like rubbing 2 ceramic plates together or you hear a tink, tink, tink sound that's the bearings

mine passes every test, no wiggle, not noise spinning and listening with stethoscope on hub or spring. put all wheel wheels up in the air and in drive so it spun all 4. wasn't sure what it was, not a single weird sound. being a hybrid there's a lot of things that can make weird whirling noises. does it at 30mph lightly and pretty good at 40mph. sounds like someone turned on a blower motor. slowly gotten worse over about 6 months. finally gave up and ordered some mechanics ears. I hate throwing new junk parts are old good parts. about 30mins of playing with the last night and singled out everything is good but the passenger front hub bearing. hear is clear as day. handy little things, should have got a kit years ago.

drivers side sounds fine for now. so I'm not touching it till it fails haha. which could be tomorrow or could be 40k miles.

I have found lately changing parts as preventive maintenance might be causing more issues than it's fixing with the low quality of all new parts. more and more I'm waiting till things fail before fixing them.

I'm about to order some new upper control arms and outer tie rods in preperation for an alignment, and am wondering what would be the reason/s why I'd want to replace the camber bolts/plates? They aren't rusted or wrecked, and I feel like I should be able to just reuse them on both sides.

What are our thoughts on this?

I dont see why you should have to? They dont really see that much wear and tear and if they are physically ok I'd run them myself.

Yeah, I just omitted them for the Rock Auto order. If they crumble in my hand I'll just run down to the parts store and grab some, but I'm pretty sure they'll be fine.
